8 Years Ago - 22nd September 2004 - LOST premiered and changed the TV landscape by starting the trend of heavily-serialized-genre-character-drama-with-watercooler-internet-moments. Everything else followed - Heroes, Flashforward, Fringe, Terra Nova, Walking Dead (the TV show not the comic), Alcatraz, Once Upon a Time, (the very recent) Revolution and many others. LOST had adventure, philosophy, romance, sci fi, supernatural, spirituality, humour, action, drama, people with superpowers, hot people, time travel, flashbacks, flashforwards, black smoke monster thing that kills people!
